As of March 31, 2020, Cleverbridge no longer issues payouts to affiliates through the AffiliateClosed An individual or a company that markets a product to potential customers. The Affiliate receives a commission on a specific action (also called event: e.g., sale, lead, click, visit etc.) previously agreed upon with you, the advertiser. Each action is tracked via a unique tracking link from Partnerize.​ ​An affiliate is also called a publisher. Center. If you choose to continue using the Affiliate Center to manage your affiliates, you are responsible for paying them out based on the performance reports generated by the Cleverbridge platform.

Affiliates can track the origin of orders and view the results in the Affiliate Center Report by tracking parameter report, which shows the total orderClosed An agreement between a seller and a buyer to exchange goods and/or services for money. An order can: - contain multiple products and quantities; - have multiple financial transactions. A preorder authorization is considered an order. value and commission generated for every tracking parameter that has been used. In the Cleverbridge platform, revenue tracking is done through the use of x-parameters, which are components of URLs that are used to pass information through the checkout process. Affiliates can use the x-parameterClosed The x-parameter is a variable appended to a URL that allows grouping and tracking orders for later reporting purposes. It also enables you to pass through data that you want to capture in the order process. X-parameters can also be used to control design elements based on the value of the x-parameter. of &x-at= to include additional tracking information in campaign URLs and generated links.

Add an X-Parameter to the Campaign URL

Affiliates can add one x-parameter to a URL to provide revenue tracking for individual campaigns. The x-parameter can be added to a pre-defined campaign source code. Affiliates can edit the campaign source code and manually add an x-parameter:

  1. They open the campaign source code.
  2. They insert the x-parameter directly before the &redirect URL component.

Affiliates can add one x-parameter to a link they generate themselves:

  1. In the Affiliate Center Get Links page, they select a product from the list on the left.
  2. They select Use checkout link or Use custom URL, depending on which kind of link they wish to generate.
  3. Optionally, in the Redirect to field, they paste the URL.

    Note

    Instead of inserting the checkout link, affiliates can redirect customers to your website or a product's landing page. The following format must be used: https://www.xyz.com.

  4. In the Tracking parameter (optional) field, they paste the tracking parameter.
  5. They click Generate link.
  6. They copy the URL.
