You can fully customize the following delivery options for each of your digital products:
Delivery Channels
Your products can be delivered by you and/or Cleverbridge. You can also choose to deliver your product using one of the available delivery methods (for example, product download) and have Cleverbridge deliver the product using another delivery method (for example, license key).
Important
When setting up the delivery methods for one of your products, the same delivery method cannot be selected for both you and Cleverbridge at the same time.
Delivery Methods
There are several ways to deliver your products:
License Keys
License keys are patterns of numbers and/or letters provided to licensed users of a software program. There are two ways to manage and distribute license keys:
- Key list
- Key generation
Keys are included in the confirmation page
The confirmation page is displayed after a customer makes a purchase. The confirmation page contains the order confirmation and delivery information. and the confirmation email. You can change your key delivery method at any time. For example, you can start with a key list and later move to key generation. Product Downloads
You can provide download links for product files for either trial versions or full versions of your products. You have the flexibility to define how long these links stay active. You upload the files into the Commerce Assistant with the Product File portal. You then select a product file for a product in the Delivery Details section of the Product portal, and then select how long the link is active.
Online Backup and Extended Download
An online backup is a service offered to customers so that they can contact Customer Support at any time for a new download link or the original license key. You can sell an online backup as an addition to a regular license. Download links typically expire between 14 to 30 days after customer An individual or business purchasing your product or service by placing an order through Cleverbridge. The customer is the end user of this product, as they are not allowed to resell the purchased products or services.
A customer is unique per client. If a customer purchases products or services from two different clients, there are 2 separate records of said customer. purchase An order made by a customer and the records associated with it.. With an online backup, you can extend the amount of time a customer has access to the download link.
An online backup is set up as an individual product and then sold as a cross-sell. The online backup product should be configured to be dependent on the original product so that it can't be purchased without the original product (select Yes in the Dependent on original product field in the Product portal).
