Manage regions
A region is an area of the world you specify for shipping configurations, price configurations, marketing campaigns, and reporting of your products.
Region dashboard
The Region dashboard is available in the Web Admin Tool under Configure > Tools > Regions.
The dashboard displays a table listing regions, organized in columns:
- Region ID: A unique identifier of the region.
- Name: A descriptive name of the region.
- Date Created: The date when the region was created.
- Date Modified: The date of the most recent update to the region.
- Created by (optional): The user who created the region.
- Last modified by (optional): The user who last modified the region.
tip
Optional field may be added to the dashboard or removed from it. To access the settings, click the Manage columns button in the top right corner of the page.
Add a region
To add a new region:
- Open the Regions dashboard.
- Click the Add Region button.
- Enter the region name.
- Select specific locations that belong to the region. Each top-level region contains several sub-locations in the hierarchy:
- If you click the top-level region, all its sub-locations are automatically selected.For example, clicking Africa automatically selects all locations under it.
- Fully chosen locations are checked.
- The locations where some but not all sublocation are chosen, are marked with a square.
tip
Start typing the desired location name in the search field to quickly find it.
- Click Submit.
Search for a region
- Click the search icon in the RegionID or Name column.
- Enter the search key.
- Press Enter.
Filter by date
Use the filters to select regions by the date they were created/modified.
- Click the filter link in the Date created or Date modified column
- Select the filter.
- Click OK.
Actions menu
Click the ... icon on the right of the image row. The menu will pop-up. Possible options are:
- View details: Opens a detailed view of the selected region's information.
- View referring: Displays configurations that refer to or are linked to this region.
- Create copy: Duplicate the selected region, creating a new region with the same settings.
- Delete: Remove the selected region from the list.
