TTYD prompt examples

Specific requests generally produce more consistent results. Include the following details when they are relevant:

IncludeExample
ClientClient 12345
PeriodJanuary–June 2026
MetricNet Revenue
BreakdownBy month and country
OutputTable and brief summary
ValidationState the filters and metric definitions used

Reusable prompt pattern

For client [client ID], analyze [metrics] for [period], broken down by
[dimensions]. Return [output]. State the reporting period, currency, filters,
and metric definitions you used. Separate observations from possible
explanations.

Start with a broad request, and then narrow the analysis with follow-up questions in the same conversation.

Compare a metric across periods

Ask for chart-ready data structured for a line chart when you want to visualize the comparison.

Prompt

Create a monthly Net Revenue view for client [client ID] for 2026. Compare it
with 2025 and return one row per month with Net Revenue for both years and the
year-over-year percentage change. Include chart-ready data and summarize
notable changes.

What you will get

  • Monthly Net Revenue values.
  • A year-over-year comparison.
  • Chart-ready data.
  • A summary of notable changes.

Investigate a change

Prompt

Net Revenue dropped in September 2026 for client [client ID]. Compare September
with August and identify the products, countries, and payment methods associated
with the largest changes. Separate observations from possible explanations.

This wording asks the assistant to identify associations in the available data without presenting a hypothesis as an established cause.

Create an MRR bridge

For results that cover multiple currencies, ask the assistant to include the reporting currency in each row and format values consistently.

Prompt

Create a monthly MRR bridge for client [client ID] for the last six completed
months, separated by reporting currency. Return Month, Starting MRR, New MRR,
Expansion MRR, Contraction MRR, Churned MRR, Ending MRR, and Net MRR Change.
Round values consistently and explain the largest changes.

What you will get

  • A monthly bridge table for each reporting currency.
  • A total for the requested period.
  • A summary of the largest changes.

Check subscription health

You can also ask the assistant to suggest three possible follow-up actions and separate them from the data observations and possible explanations.

Prompt

For client [client ID], create a monthly subscription health report for the last
12 completed months. Include MRR, ARR, Churn MRR, Renewals MRR, New Business MRR,
Active Subscribers, and ARPU. Break down the result by the top 10 products and
top five countries by MRR. Identify unusual churn spikes, quantify their impact,
and identify products or countries associated with the largest changes.
Separate observations from possible explanations.

Suggested actions are generated by the AI assistant. Treat them as input for your own judgment, not as Cleverbridge recommendations.

Start with an open question

Prompt

For client [client ID], what should I know about performance over the last 12 completed months? Summarize the key trends and risk areas, and suggest useful follow-up questions.

This is useful when you want to explore the data before choosing specific metrics or dimensions.

Validate a figure

Prompt

What was Net Revenue for client [client ID] in September 2026? State the metric
definition, reporting period, currency, dimensions, and filters you used.

For important results, compare the definition and supported breakdowns with Available metrics and dimensions.
