Set up product pricing
To set up prices for your products, use either the options available in our web admin tool under Configure > Manage Products or the Suggested Retail Price section of the Product portal in Commerce Assistant (CA).
Tips for product pricing
Before you enter product prices, it's recommended that you:
- Decide on a pricing method and whether you want the prices to float based on the daily exchange rate or to be fixed according to prices you set for each currency. For more information, see Pricing methods.
- Decide how to implement pricing: through the product itself or through price configurations. For more information, see Pricing.
- Consider pricing for localized customer regions. For more information, see Apply customized pricing.
- Determine if you want to offer discounts for bulk purchases. For more information, see Volume pricing method.
To set up product pricing in our web admin tool, check the information provided in the Pricing section of the following articles, depending on what type of product you want to offer:
- Add a base product for a base product.
- Add a perpetual product for a perpetual product.
- Add a recurring product for a recurring product.
Pricing subscription products
The Cleverbridge subscription commerce platform manages subscription-metrics in a similar fashion as products and services that have a one-time payment model. All subscription-metrics must be set up in the Cleverbridge platform, and you have the following pricing options:
- Set up a fixed-price or variable-price subscription
- Combine a regular product with a subscription
- Set up free trials
- Combine a subscription with a promotional discount
