Checkout overview

Cleverbridge Checkout turns purchase intent into revenue with localized, secure buying experiences for B2C and B2B customers. It combines product, pricing, tax, payment, consent, and presentation settings across the Cleverbridge platform, so you can manage shared business configuration once and use it consistently in checkout.

Use this section to compare Checkout 1.0 and Checkout 2.0, configure checkout flows and components, connect checkout to your storefront, and optimize the experience through testing.

How checkout fits together

A checkout implementation typically combines four layers:

  1. Shared commerce configuration, including products, selections, prices, currencies, tax settings, payment methods, languages, and customer-facing content.
  2. Checkout-specific configuration, including the page flow, components, styling, consent handling, and supported storefront integration.
  3. Customer entry points, including purchase links that can preselect products, language, country, currency, coupons, and other settings.
  4. Optimization, including test scenarios and A/B testing used to improve conversion and customer experience.

Review the available checkout versions and their supported scenarios before planning an implementation. Changes published in SCM, such as updated prices or translations, are reflected in Checkout according to the applicable configuration.

Checkout uses settings from across Cleverbridge:

  • Products and selections define what customers can buy and how choices are presented.
  • Pricing and Tax control prices, currencies, tax calculation, and gross or net price display.
  • Configure storefront covers shared branding, domains, regions, currencies, and web assets.
  • Customer incentives covers promotions, recommendations, bundles, reviews, banners, and free trials.
  • Payments determines which payment methods are available in the buying experience.
  • Links explains how customers enter checkout and other hosted journeys.

Cleverbridge can also work with your team to align goals, gather assets and copy, review previews, validate quality and compliance, and coordinate releases.
