PayPal Standard

PayPal Standard is a real-time payment solution accessible worldwide, used by millions of B2B and B2C customers to make online payments effortlessly via their PayPal account and preferred linked payment methods.

PayPal Standard supports both one-time purchases and recurring billing for subscription renewals, facilitated through a PayPal Billing Agreement confirmed by the customers.

On the Cleverbridge checkout, the customer experience with PayPal Standard is as follows:

1. The customer selects PayPal as their payment method in the express checkout area on the Cleverbridge checkout page.

2. The customer is redirected to the PayPal application to complete the payment.

3. After logging in to their existing PayPal account, the customer authorizes the payment by confirming their identity.

4. The customer chooses their preferred linked bank account and credit or debit card and clicks Confirm.

5. PayPal processes the transaction, and the customer is redirected to the Cleverbridge checkout, where the confirmation page with transaction details is displayed.

6. Upon payment completion, a confirmation email is sent to the customer containing both the receipt and the product delivery.
