Google Pay

Google Pay is an all-in-one app for Android users that stores their payment information in a centralized manner. Customers can easily access the payment methods through their existing Google account. The payment information is encrypted, ensuring a fast and secure web and mobile checkout experience.

On the Cleverbridge checkout, the customer experience with Google Pay is as follows:

  1. The customer clicks Buy with GPay in the express checkout area.

  2. The customer selects their Google Pay email address and chooses a preferred payment method.

  3. When the payment method is chosen, the customer clicks the Pay button.
Unauthenticated Google Pay users are prompted to resubmit their security code and complete Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) > 3D Secure for enhanced security.

  4. The customer clicks Next.

  5. The customer reviews the order overview and clicks Buy Now to finalize the purchase.

  6. The order is processed successfully, and the customer receives an order confirmation. If the order fails due to an authentication issue, the customer can click Change Payment and select a different payment method to pay for the order.
