Offer Boleto Bancario payments

Overview

Boleto Bancario is a Brazilian payment slip regulated by the Banco Central do Brasil. It can be presented electronically or on paper and contains a barcode or numeric payment line together with the payer, beneficiary, amount, and due-date information.

Why offer Boleto Bancario?

Boleto supports customers in Brazil who prefer or require a locally familiar payment slip instead of an immediate card or wallet authorization. It can also fit purchasing processes in which the customer pays through a banking channel after placing the order.

Order flow

  1. The customer selects Boleto Bancario and confirms the order.
  2. Cleverbridge provides the purchase details and payment slip.
  3. The customer pays through a supported channel.
  4. The provider reports the payment to Cleverbridge.
  5. Cleverbridge completes the order and makes the delivery available.

Subscription renewals

Boleto is an offline payment method. A customer must complete a new manual boleto payment for every subscription renewal; the original boleto cannot be charged automatically.

The standard PaidOrderNotification structure also applies to Boleto payments.
